Pumpkins, Biscuits, Ice Cream, Thrift Shops and Laughs

Today was a really fun day! I had every intention of sleeping in very late, but instead I was wide awake pretty early today. We got up and got ready to go to a pumpkin patch with my sister Grace and her fiance Chris. We headed out to a little place in Canby. Mark, Amelia and I had been there before, but Grace and Chris hadn't.

The pumpkin patch has a little train to ride. Amelia really enjoyed that part. After the pumpkin patch we didn't really know what to do. We decided to just head toward Portland and see where we ended up. We decided to have linner (lunch/dinner) at a place called Pine State Biscuits and let me say... it was AMAZING! The food was absolutely delicious and my Arnold Palmer was the best I've ever had.

My Dinner (well this was technically my breakfast, lunch and dinner)
This pictures is not very pretty, but it cracks me up. I have the smallest mouth in the world... okay well that may be an exaggeration, but they do have to use the children's x-rays on me at the dentist and even those are a tight fit. This sandwich was very tall so I had to eat it with a fork. It was so yummy though! It was lettuce, tomato, ranch, bacon and fried chicken with a biscuit for the bun.

After we ate we of course had to go to Salt & Straw since it was two blocks away. Chris had never been. It was quite delicious, even if we were completely stuffed when we were done.
We finished up our evening with a drive around downtown Portland, a stop at a really cool thrift shop and a stop at the new Ross store near our house. A great day it was! Now I need to clean my house. I feel like I am constantly behind on the house work and it's driving me nuts. There are so many chores that need to be done, but I'm also thinking of the long Christmas crafting list I have... and it's all quite overwhelming. I think I will work my buns off tomorrow after church and hopefully get a lot accomplished.

  1. Just getting caught up on your blogging and happenings and had to chime in that I LOVE PINE STATE! A guy I work with has a picture of one of their biscuit sandwiches as his computer desktop and it makes me drool every time. YUM!
