If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

My Community

1. Where were you born? Did you grow up there? I was born in Portland, Oregon but I grew up in Molalla, Oregon. We moved to Molalla when I was about 6 months old (I think).

2. Tell us about your favorite spot in your city? I spent most of my life in Molalla, but now live in Oregon City. My favorite spot in Oregon City is on the promenade above the waterfalls.

3. Do you volunteer for any organizations? If so, will you tell us about it? I don't currently volunteer for any, but there is one in particular that I find incredibly important. I might look in to when things in my lift calm down.

4. Tell us about your favorite local restaurant. I really like the Highland Stillhouse in Oregon City, but we don't go there too often.

5. Has your city ever experienced tragedy? If so, how did it recover? Thankfully we don't get a lot of tragedy causing weather or events here in Oregon.

6. Share at least one unique thing about your neighborhood. We live in the historic neighborhood of Oregon City and there is always something going on here. During the summer months we have Thursday concerts in the park, there are farmer's markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, along with a year round farmer's market, Friday movies in the park, festivals and parades and we have a trolley bus that gives tours around the area. We love riding on the trolley and hearing about all of the old homes and all of the people who came over with the Oregon Trail.

7. If you could do one small thing to change your community, what would you do? There are several things I could do... so I'm just gonna throw a silly change out there. The lower Dutch Bros. in Oregon City always has traffic backed up because people are constantly waiting in the road to be able to get their coffee. I would move the darn coffee stand so that people can get around town easier. It is a pain when you are running late or need to get to an appointment or work on time and have to wait because the car in front of you needs  a drink. I myself go there from time to time, but if I have to wait in line in the road, I just pass by and don't stop.

8. The Powerball is currently up to 400 million dollars. Would you move to a different place if you won? I don't think I would move out of the area right away. I would probably buy a house in the country with a lot of land, but I wouldn't want to leave my family. I think a lot of vacations would be in my future though.

    1. I know! haha, I tried to base it on Oregon City since that's where I currently live, but I have missed very few Molalla rodeos in my lifetime. I am a serious buckaroo fan! I see you are just north of us. Have you ever headed down that way during the 4th celebrations?

    1. Haha, I just looked at my post and had to laugh a little. I guess it's hard not to say Oregon when I live in Oregon City. It is beautiful here though.
