High Five for Friday

This week was hot. Some days were miserably hot. I didn't accomplish as much as I had wanted, but with cooler temperatures I'm hoping to kick it into gear and get some stuff done. We had a pretty easy going laid back week. Here is a recap...

1. We had a funeral to attend this past weekend for an amazing man. While the circumstances were sad, it was nice to spend time with so many family members.

2. Amelia harvested her first ripe tomato off of her plants this week. She is such a cute little gardener.

3. Chris turned 27 this week. Yeah, it was so hot the candles melted together in the box. It made for an awesome flame.

4. I'm teaching the cats good manners. They fight (well my sister's cat is the fighter) over who gets to eat first so I made them wait in line. Haha.

5. We went to Kahneeta this week. It was great to get away for the day. Here is a photo of some of the fires going on after the lightning storm. The scenery over in that part of the state is beautiful. Kahneeta itself was great. The pool water was hotter than we liked, but it was still fun.

  4. Cute photos! Your tomatoes are already ready for harvest? I'm jealous! We have one, and the rest are getting there, thanks to the heat. Can't wait!

  5. Teaching cats manners is one heck of a Sisyphean task...but it looks like you've made progress. To make them wait, that is.
