The week escaped me. Seriously, I know I say this often, but the week just happened so fast. I didn't even manage to blog this week. I'm hoping once my class is done things will calm down, although I will be replacing my Saturday homework day with Amelia's ice skating lessons. At least I can't say that my life is boring :) I've decided I either need a vacation... or a bottle of wine. Anyway, here is a quick recap of the week.
1. From Ashley to Awesome turned 2 this week!!!! I can't believe I've been blogging here for two years. I am excited to see what the next year of blogging has in store. I've met a lot of great bloggers, gotten some great opportunities and plan to make next year even better.
2.Amelia and I went on a tour of a private school that we are hoping to have her attend next year. I was so impressed with the entire school and all of the teachers and students there. I really don't want her in public school so I'm hoping our application gets accepted and she gets a spot. She really loved the school as well and was really excited. The only downer for her is that they don't have school buses. Apparently the idea of riding a bus is pretty awesome. But this Mama is happy at the thought of taking her to and from school every day. I'm pretty sure I'm going to cry each time for a few months. She can't be this old yet!

3. My mom stayed with us one night this week. She watched the little kids I babysit for me while Amelia and I were at the school. Amelia loves her Grandma so much and I'm so blessed that my mom puts so much effort into having a great relationship with her.
4. My sister Erica gave Amelia a fish tank for her 2nd birthday. The tank had five fish in it, but four of them didn't make it. Our poor little Nemo, who has been with us for three years now, needed some friends so we took Amelia to the pet shop this week. She picked out four new fish and now our tank is full.
5. I went on a date with my husband last night!!! We had a great night out while Amelia had a slumber part with my mom.
6. I've been working on homework like crazy this morning. I really love this week's assignment. Here are a few of the photos I've finished up.
Any plans for the weekend?
I've been doing homework today and then we are going to dinner with Mark's family tonight. Tomorrow we will go to church in the morning and then I will probably head out to do a little shopping with Amelia. I need to hit up Sephora and she needs some warmer athletic attire for ice skating lessons.
I can't believe 4 of the fish didn't make it! What the heck?!
ReplyDeleteShe got them for her second birthday and the first two fish died within a month. the other 2 died over the course of 6 months to a year. I believe the one that made it is unbreakable. Seriously, I was cleaning the fish tank and put it in a big bowl of water until I was done. It leaped from the bowl on our counter and landed on our kitchen floor and was there for a couple of minutes before we noticed. He's still alive and kickin'. Crazy little thing. I'm glad we got more for her though. She loves them.
